The following Royalties are available on Sounded.com: Basic Tier 36 Month Exclusivity 40%, Exclusive Tier 12 Month Exclusivity 60%, Complete Control Non-Exclusive: 80%. For all audiobooks which are on a non-exclusive basis after any exclusivity, an 80% Royalty is available
The net royalty amount which is due to you will be available in to see in your Author Account dashboard settings.
The net amount due to you following the sale of the Audiobook on the Book Store, is calcuated after deduction of any Promotion costs, fees, chargebacks, returns or cancellations, any VAT, sales or other taxes charged to an End User, withholding or other applicable taxes, bank fees or any other applicable fees or costs incurred by us or sums we are required to deduct by law. Any royalty payable in accordance with our agreement with you shall be paid in a currency we choose, to the credit of a bank account in the name of the Author designated by you in your Author Account
No royalties are payable for any Audiobooks provided free of charge via our Book Store or included in the Sounded Free program
We shall have no liability to account to you for any royalty amount due unless and until such time as we have received payment for the relevant copies of the Audiobook without any deductions
Royalty amounts due to will be calculated on a monthly basis and will be due on any Audiobook sales approximately thirty (30) days after the end of the month in which the sales were made. Please note, unless the total amoutn of royalties due is above GBP250, no royalty amounts will be paid in any month.
The method of payment of any royalty amount due by us shall be by way of wire transfer to a bank account in your name. In order to receive payment, you will be required to provide us with current valid bank account information. If you fail to provide us with the relevant information, or you provide inaccurate or incomplete information, we will be unable to make payment of to you. You agree we will not be liable for any payment sent using inaccurate or incomplete information you have provided to us.
There are a number of reasons you may not have received a royalty payment in a month. For example, there may not be any relevant audiobook sales; the balance of any royalty payment due to you is below the amount we transfer in any month; or you are in breach of our Publishing Agreement and/or Terms of Use. According to the terms you agreed, we may withhold payment of any royalty amount if we have reasonable grounds for believing you have breached any of the provisions any agreements with us or have acted dishonestly.
We shall be entitled to suspend payment of a royalty amount if we become aware of any complaint or claim relating to the audiobook, including the IP rights, until such complaint or claim has been settled to our satisfaction.
We are responsible for collecting and remitting all taxes imposed on Audiobook sales to End Users. As an Author, you are responsible for any income or other taxes due and payable in your jurisdiction resulting from any payments to you by us. For example, as a company incorporated in the Isle of Man and for sales which occur [on/via] our Book Store, we are required to charge VAT when offering Audiobooks for sale in some jurisdictions, and we are also required to withhold tax from any Net Royalty Amount paid to you and account for them to the relevant authorities in the Isle of Man. You acknowledge our right and obligation to deduct or withhold all applicable taxes from amounts due to you from us, and the amounts due as reduced by the deductions or withholdings will constitute full payment and settlement to you.
We may ask for documentation prior to making any royalty payments to you. Depending on your jurisdiction, we may ask for a copy of your ID, utility bill, together with your relevant tax number and residential address (if different from that provided in your account). We may also ask for other information to assist comply with any legal or regulatory obligations we may have.

Yes. If you want to work on your audiobook chapter by chapter, you have full control to do so, ensuring you are happy with the sound and narration of each chapter for your full book. Alternatively, you can generate your entire book following review of your first chapter.
If your first chapter is complete, you can generate all of the other chapters for your audiobook quickly by selecting the Generate Entire Book option from within your Chapter Overview Page for the specific book. Don't worry though! This does not mean you're finished! You are still able to review each chapter and modify lines after this initial generation. You have total control to finalise the audiobook at a later date!
